Hello, friends,
Last week, we talked about the idea of following the U.K.’s footsteps and implementing a national service practice.
This week, I’m gonna be straight to the point: I’m very upset with President Biden, extremely upset with my disgrace of a Representative Tom Suozzi, and just plain unsurprised by my weak-willed Governor, Kathy Hochul.
I’ve included links to prior articles which, at least in part, will detail prior grievances with them.
And, yes, I know I’m kinda just venting, but I need to do that right now.
First: Biden Fucks Asylum Seekers
As pointed out by The Daily Dot, this goes directly against his campaign statements in 2019. Remember when Democrats were all up in arms about how Trump was demonizing and punishing asylum seekers?
Now Biden’s doing it.
The only reason to vote for him in 2024 is that Trump is a literally-quoting-Hitler Nazi and would have unilateral control of the Executive Branch, thus ending what hardscrabble Democracy we have left.
Tom Suozzi Voted To Sanction The International Criminal Court
Hey, remember that article I wrote about Ronald “GITMO” DeSantis committing atrocities against other Humans? I’m sorry, I’m being deceptive; it was more about how the U.S.’ long-standing policies of distrust (‘he said, putting it very delicately’) towards the International Criminal Court might effect our ability to punish Russian war crimes in Ukraine?
Guess who just voted to literally sanction a body of international law? My dumbfuck of a Representative, Tom Suozzi.
I will not, under any circumstances, be voting for him in November.
Does that increase the likelihood of a Republican winning his office? Mathematically, yes, but I’m still not doing it.
I won’t vote for anyone so caught up in genocide that they’re trying to punish international legal bodies, and if that means a Republican gets his seat, well, maybe the Democrats should be listening when we tell them to run better candidates, eh?
Speaking of.
Kathy Hochul ‘Indefinitely Postpones’ A $500,000,000(-ish?) Project For No Reason
Yep. Hochul has postponed NYC’s Congestion Pricing policy. You might agree or disagree, but we’re way past initial planning phases on that.
Yep. We’ve already shelled out what appears to be a 500 million dollar contract to build, maintain, and operate the infrastructure needed for that.
Yep. This all came about at the same time as a major automotive lobbying group is doing a fundraiser for her campaign. Gotta love it, right?
As with Suozzi, I’m never voting for Hochul again. Granted, she almost certainly won’t need my vote. It’s New York. But even if she lost in 2026, the Assembly and Senate would almost certainly remain Democratically held, so it won’t effect too much.
Or maybe it will.
But I am sick and fed up with these Republican-ass Democrats selling everyone they claim to give a fuck about out, and if you give the bully everything they want just because they tell you another bully will do worse? News flash - you’re still getting bullied.
Sorry For The Short Article This Week,
I’m at the WriteHive convention this weekend. Which…Is technically just me being in my office, since it’s all virtual, but it’s a lot of work. It’s a lot of fun, too. It’s also free! If you like writing and/or reading and/or just entertainment in general, check it out.
